Carrie Fisher Accidentally Spoils Scene In ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’
During this past weekend’s Star Wars Celebration, Carrie Fisher may have accidentally spoiled a scene from the upcoming “Star Wars: Episode VIII.”
While participating in a Q&A with fans, Fisher was asked about the events between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens.” However, Fisher may gotten confused and thought she was being asked what takes place between “The Force Awakens” and the upcoming “Episode VIII,” as she replied, “Han’s funeral.”
Does Rian Johnson’s upcoming “Star Wars” sequel feature or allude to the funeral of the beloved Han Solo? As fans know, Harrison Ford’s iconic character was killed off by his son and new baddie Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver. It is unknown if fans will have the opportunity to see any type of ceremony for the fallen hero on screen.
Fisher also filled in some of the blanks for fans who were wondering what happened to Han and Leia’s marriage.
“Han and I had a volatile relationship,” Fisher told Variety. “We have space estrangement. We had a child who turned out to be Hitler. You’d feel bad if he turned out like that. I did spank Adam when I first met him.”
One fan asked if Leia will find love again in the upcoming movie.
“God, I hope so,” Fisher responded. “I don’t know. I wear a huge dress. Maybe they will add it in post.”
“Star Wars: Episode VIII” will arrive in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
