Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first full-length trailer for their upcoming alien movie “Arrival.” The film stars Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker and Michael Stuhlbarg. You can check out the trailer below.

“Arrival” is directed by impressive up-and-comer Denis Villeneuve (“Prisoners,” “Sicario”), who is also helming the long-awaited “Bladerunner” sequel. “Arrival” sees a host of alien spacecrafts touching down across the globe. In an attempt to communicate, linguistic expert Louise Banks (Adams) is brought in to open a line of dialogue, but the nations of the world are pushed to the brink of war as a result of this massive discovery.

“This isn’t a graphic-novel universe or creating a new universe. This happens in our world today, as it exists,” Adams has said. “Not having to transport myself to a universe where superheroes exist, which is also fun, really helped me ground the character and the experience.”

Renner stars as a physicist brought in to help with the investigation. “I haven’t played a smart nerdy guy. I thought there was a great challenge in that,” he said.

He’s compared the film to some works of Stanley Kubrick and Steven Spielberg, saying: “If you’re a parent, it’s going to wreck you. It’s big and there are thriller elements and tension, but it’s going to lean much more into a thinking person’s film.”

“Arrival” is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 11.
