Russell Crowe had to forcibly remove Azealia Banks from a party he hosted on Saturday night in a Beverly Hills hotel suite after the rapper threatened to cut several of his other guests.

The actor invited “about 10 people over to have dinner and listen to music,” which later turned into a violent argument, which Crowe was eventually forced to end, TMZ reports. Banks attended Crowe’s hotel party as a guest with rapper RZA, who cast Crowe in a movie he wrote and directed, “The Man with the Iron Fists.”

Banks apparently didn’t appreciate Crowe’s taste in music and called the actor and another guest “boring white men.” One of Crowe’s female guest reportedly tried to calm Banks down, but she continued to be hostile.

Banks became more agitated and began threatening Crowe and the woman, saying “you would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino shit.” Banks also dropped the n-word several times during her threatening rant, according to TMZ.

Crowe remained calm throughout Banks’ threats until she grabbed her glass and cocked it back as if she was about to use it as a weapon. The Oscar winner then grabbed Banks “in a bear hug and carried her out of the suite,” and called hotel security who removed her from the property.

The rapper has a different side to the story. Banks claimed in a Facebook post that Crowe called her a n****r, choked her, threw her out of the hotel room and spat at her.

At least four of Crowe’s guests and witnesses to the event gave statements during the investigation. All four of them described Banks behavior as “erratic,” TMZ reports. RZA, who brought Banks to the party, said that Banks was the one who used the n-word, not Crowe.

Banks has deleted the Facebook post in which she recapped her version of Saturday night’s events.
