Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow got his first hit during his stint in the Arizona Fall League Tuesday night.

The Heisman winner at the University of Florida hit a line drive into left field and sprinted to first base for a single. (RELATED: Tim Tebow Takes Another Step Toward Major League Baseball)


Tebow has been playing the Mets minor league system ever since giving up his football career and giving professional baseball a shot. He’s considered a long shot to make the Mets roster, but if he can find a way to keep hammering the ball, perhaps he can find a way into the majors.
