NHL Player Uses Head To Block A Shot, Probably Regrets It After Losing Part Of His Ear [VIDEO]

Washington Capitals forward Daniel Winnik used his head to block a slap shot and it didn’t go well.

Winnik slid down to block the shot from the Florida Panthers and took the puck directly to his head. The brutal shot resulted in Winnik losing a part of his ear. (SLIDESHOW: These Photos Are Proof That Carrie Underwood Is The Most Stunning NHL WAG)


Losing a piece of your ear and continuing to play in the game is a great example of how tough hockey players are. They don’t complain. They don’t ask to be taken out of the game. They simply lose parts of their bodies and just go out there and keep playing.

That, ladies and gentleman, is what being hockey tough is all about.
