NBC Denies Report It Is Worried About Fallon’s Drinking
NBC executives deny that they are concerned over Jimmy Fallon’s reported drinking habits or that he has been ordered to “cut back.”

“Any suggestion that we have concerns about his behavior or have given him any kind of ‘warning’ is completely false,” NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt said in a statement. (RELATED: Donald Trump’s Appearance Gives ‘The Tonight Show’ A Ratings Boos)
“Jimmy Fallon is one of NBC’s biggest assets and we’re extremely proud that The Tonight Show continues to be the late-night leader in all metrics, including ratings and social media awareness,” he added.
The statement comes after a report in Page Six said that sources told them insiders at the company were worried about Fallon.
“There were fears that Fallon was out of control and something could happen while he’s out drinking,” the source told Page Six. “Things got so serious at one stage that execs feared that Jimmy was splitting up with his wife over his drinking, but they patched things up.”
Fallon’s drinking became national news following a series of reported late-night incidents.
Fallon’s contract was extended last year until 2021.
