Chicago Cubs Win The World Series

The Chicago Cubs have won World Series for the first time since 1908.

The Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians 8-7 in a thrilling game seven that went to an extra inning.

Cubs catcher David Ross blasted a home run in the sixth inning to give the Cubs a 6-3, and appeared to give Chicago a runaway victory. However, the Indians crawled back in the eighth inning. (SLIDESHOW: These Barely Clothed Women Love Baseball)

The Indians played a tough game through ten innings, but ultimately the Cubs came on too early and too strong for Cleveland to counter down the stretch.
