Steve Bartman Reveals His Reaction To The Chicago Cubs Winning The World Series

Steve Bartman is very happy that the Chicago Cubs won the 2016 World Series.

“He was just overjoyed that the Cubs won, as all the Cubs fans are,’’ Bartman’s spokesman Frank Murtha told USA Today.

Murtha also added, “We don’t intend to crash the parade. The one thing that Steve and I did talk about was if the Cubs were to win, he did not want to be a distraction to the accomplishments of the players and the organization.’’ (SLIDESHOW: These Barely Clothed Women Love Baseball)

Bartman became one of the most infamous figures in sports after he appeared to interfere with the ball during game six of the 2003 NLCS. The Cubs went on to blow their game six lead and ultimately lose the series.

Now that the Cubs have won the World Series again there is a very good chance that Bartman’s place in history will turn into just a character from 2003 instead of the biggest villain in Chicago.
