Carmelo Anthony Has A Message For His Haters In New Foot Locker Ad [VIDEO]
Carmelo Anthony hilariously fires back at all the basketball fans and critics who question the New York Knicks star’s greatness in a hilarious new Foot Locker advertisement.
Many have continually questioned Anthony’s legacy despite his scoring titles and Olympic gold medals. The New York Knick guard defends his place in basketball history in the 30-second advertisement spot.
The new commercial is for Foot Locker’s “Week of Greatness” for their hottest weak of sneaker releases of the year. In the ad, two fans bump into Carmelo and ask him whether he’s going to check it out or not. (RELATED: Tom Brady Makes Fun Of ‘Deflategate’ In Foot Locker Ad)
“You don’t sound too urgent. The window for greatness closes fast,” one kid jabs at Anthony in the commercial.
“I’ve experienced my fair share of greatness,” Anthony responds.
“I mean you’re definitely really good, but greatness?” the other kid asks.
Carmelo then lists off just some of the achievements of his impressive career citing his nine NBA All-Star appearances, a national championship in college and three gold medals. When the young fans dismiss all of that, just as most of his critics do, Melo puts them in their place.
“You guys spend a lot of time commenting on the Internet?” Anthony asks to the two kids with no response. “That’s what I thought.”
