Max Scherzer Celebrates Like A Champion After Winning Cy Young Award [VIDEO]
Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer celebrated like a true champion after winning the National League Cy Young award Wednesday.
The Nationals ace was hanging out on a boat in the British Virgin Islands with his wife Erica and some friends who promptly showered him in champagne after getting the news. Luckily someone caught the celebration on camera and as you can see Scherzer gets absolutely soaked by the champagne shower.

The Nationals star pitcher beat out finalists Jon Lester and Kyle Hendricks of the Chicago Cubs to win the award. Although Scherzer admitted he would rather have the World Series trophy that the other finalists won.
Lester and Hendricks still offered their congratulations to the pitcher who came out on top in the voting.
Hard to argue with that! Congrats to @Max_Scherzer on winning the NL Cy Young! You’ve won it enough now, time to let others have a turn.

Perhaps Scherzer will come away with the World Series trophy next time around and one of the Cubs will take home the award in 2017.
