Marc Anthony Has Separated From His Wife Of Two Years
Singer Marc Anthony and his wife Shannon De Lima have separated after two years of marriage, People reports.
Anthony and De Lima married back in 2014 in the Dominican Republic but have now decided to call it quits.
The singer showed up to the Latin Grammys without De Lima and performed a duet with his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez. Anthony and Lopez delivered a performance of an old Spanish classic “Olvidame y Pega la Vuelta.”
The former power couple even shared a kiss onstage after the romantic duet. After the performance Anthony made it seem like it was only friendly, saying Lopez is like a sister to him. (RELATED: Jennifer Lopez Is Wearing Nothing But A Bikini And Heels In This Photo)
Lopez presented Anthony with the Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year award at Thursdays awards show. Lopez said Anthony would “always be many things in my life — a mentor, a soulmate, a father. He is not only a Person of the Year, he is a living legend.”
Anthony dedicated the award to his children but did not mention De Lima during his acceptance speech. “You have sacrificed — more than anyone — to see Daddy standing here after 30 years,” the singer said. “You guys are living this moment with me. Alex, Arianna, Christina, Ryan, Max and Emme — I am yours.”
Anthony and De Lima have split before, according to People. The couple took a brief break after being together for a year in 2013, but reconnected shortly after in 2014.
