Green Day Chants ‘No Trump’ During Performance At AMAs [VIDEO]
The band Green Day changed the lyrics to their latest single to slam president-elect Donald Trump during the American Music Awards.
On Sunday night, the band took the stage and lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong is clearly not dealing well with the results of the election between Trump and Hillary Clinton as he tweaked the lyrics to their song “Bang, Bang” to include the lines, “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist U.S.A..” (RELATED: Green Day Lead Singer Compares Trump To Hitler)
The performance was captured and shared on Twitter as the singer chanted the lines over and over again. However, it is unclear how the audience felt about it or if they joined in as the cameras never focused on them during that part of the performance.

This is not the first time Armstrong has shared his opinions about the election. After Trump’s stunning victory the singer shared a post on his Instagram account
“[A]s the outcome of this election is still sinking in i’m left wondering what the hell to do,” Armstrong wrote. “what to think.. what to say. like the vast majority of you i want to say SOMEthing.”
“[O]ur social progress got punched in the face. hard. it’s hard to tell if we made any progress at all.. the dark side of our better angels have spoken.. they gloat.. they cheer.. i pity them,” he added. “i pity them because they have no clue what they’ve gotten our country into. or the world for that matter.. but one thing is for sure. racism, misogyny, transphobia, homophobia, and xenophobes have no place in around green day and/or any green day event.”
