If Donald Trump is expecting an apology from the cast of “Hamilton,” he better pack a lunch because it’s going to be a while.

Brandon Dixon — the actor who plays Aaron Burr in the Broadway musical — said he sees no reason to apologize to the president-elect or Mike Pence for the political statement Dixon made when Pence attended the show Friday night.

“There’s nothing to apologize for,” Dixon said during an interview on CBS Monday morning. “Conversation is not harassment, and I was really appreciative that Vice President-elect Pence stood there and listened to what we had to say.”

“It was the beginning of a conversation I hope we can continue to have.”

Pence was booed when he attended the show on Friday night, and as it ended, Dixon read a statement to Pence from the cast.

“We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights,” Dixon said. “We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us.”

Trump called for an apology from the cast the next morning.
