Kanye West Hospitalized After Canceling Rest Of His Tour
Kanye West has been hospitalized after canceling the rest of his Saint Pablo Tour.
The 39-year-old singer was taken to UCLA Medical center on Monday afternoon for “psychiatric evaluation” after police responded to a wellness call involving West, according to TMZ. (RELATED: Kanye West Wasn’t Joking About Running For President In 2020)
The singer was reportedly not at his home at the time of the call. Sources close to West told the outlet that he was just getting examined by one of his doctors for “severe sleep deprivation” when it was decided that he should be admitted. However, they do not say who made the decision. (RELATED: Kanye West: I Would Have Voted For Trump)
In addition, law enforcement officials reportedly said that the singer resisted going with the paramedics, who also responded to the call, and he had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance in restraints.
Another report claims the singer was “hospitalized” for exhaustion after a bizarre weekend of rants during his show in Sacramento and canceling the rest of his tour.
As previously reported, the singer canceled the rest of his tour dates on Monday citing “exhaustion and family matters” as the reason.
“He’s just exhausted,” a source close to the rapper told TMZ. “He’s been working around the clock on fashion design, both his own line and the Adidas line.”
“All the time spent away from his family has been a stress on him as well,” the source added. “They are most important to him.”
