Dennis Rodman Facing 4 Misdemeanor Charges For Hit-And-Run Crash
Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has been charged with 4 misdemeanor criminal charges after causing a “wrong way freeway crash” back in July, TMZ Sports reports.
Rodman was charged by the Orange County District Attorney with hit-and-run with property damage, driving a car across the divider, giving false information to police and driving without a valid license.
The former Chicago Bulls star caused the crash at about 12:30 AM on July 20th after leaving a karaoke bar. While driving away from the bar, Rodman drove on the wrong side of the road, forcing another car to avoid a head-on collision with Rodman’s SUV.
In avoiding Rodman, the other driver crashed into the center divider. The driver then called 911, but Rodman fled the scene before the police arrived and did not exchange information with the driver whom he caused to crash.
During the police investigation, officials claim the former basketball star lied to investigators, TMZ reports. If Rodman is convicted of all charges, he could face up to two years in county jail.
