Matthew McConaughey Proves He’s The Coolest Texas Graduate Ever Once Again
Matthew McConaughey is continuing to prove he is the coolest dude to ever graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. The academy award-winning actor surprised some current students late Monday night with a ride home after they finished studying.
The “Dallas Buyers Club” star served as a volunteer for the SURE Walk program the other night, or Students United For Rape Elimination. The program run by volunteers ensures a safe return home for studnets late at night.
The UT Austin student government teamed up with the parking and transportation services to create SURE Walk “in order to protect the sudents, provide peace-of-mind when studying late at night and ensure safety for all,” the UT News reports.

On Monday, in addition to scoring a safe ride home, some Texas longhorns got to ride with an Oscar-winning actor. (VIDEO: Watch Matthew McConaughey’s Inspirational Speech To Texas Before They Upset Notre Dame)
McConaughey is a huge supporter of his alma mater. Earlier this year, the Texas Longhorn alumnus delivered an epic speech to the school’s football team before their season opener against Notre Dame.

Notre Dame didn’t have much of a chance after that. The Longhorns went on to win that game in a huge upset against the Fighting Irish.
