Colin Cowherd: Matthew Stafford Is Better Than Aaron Rodgers

Fox Sports pundit Colin Cowherd believes Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has now surpassed Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

“Stafford was a considerably better high school quarterback. A considerably better college talent, but like we do in society all the time we don’t consider what you’ve overcome or what you’ve inherited. When Stafford has been simply given marginally competent coaching he’s an MVP candidate,” Cowherd said in part Thursday on his FS1 show “The Herd.” (SLIDESHOW: This Supermodel Might Be The Sexiest NFL Girlfriend)

Stafford currently has the Lions sitting at 7-4 and in first place of the NFC North. He has thrown 19 touchdowns to only five interceptions this season. (SLIDESHOW: 13 Times Lindsey Vonn Proved She’s One Of The Hottest Women Alive)

Meanwhile, Rodgers has struggled to find any consistency this season, and the Packers are not likely to make the playoffs.
