Liberal News Tried To Destroy Him Because He’s Christian — But The Way Chip Gaines Responded Is All Class
Chip Gaines has a message for BuzzFeed News.
After the liberal website tried to take down he and his wife — one of television’s most famous couples — because they are Christians who attend a church that believes gay marriage is sinful, the “Fixer Upper” star set an example with his classy response.
“Regardless of our decision to make a statement about all this craziness, or not, I ask that people please! respect @KateAurthur & @ginamei,” Gaines tweeted. (RELATED: BuzzFeed News Wants To Destroy This Couple Because They Are Christians)
He then noted that “in times of trouble.. you’ll find the gaines family at church.”

The first person he tagged is Kate Authur, the BuzzFeed writer who published a story with the headline “Chip And Joanna Gaines’ Church Is Firmly Against Same-Sex Marriage.”
The piece attacks the couple because the pastor of their church, Jimmy Seibert, “takes a hard line against same-sex marriage and promotes converting LGBT people into being straight.”
“So are the Gaineses against same-sex marriage?” the BuzzFeed article reads.
“And would they ever feature a same-sex couple on the show, as have HGTV’s ‘House Hunters’ and ‘Property Brothers’?”…It’s worth looking at the severe, unmoving position Seibert and Antioch take on same-sex marriage.” (RELATED: Azealia Banks Said Sarah Palin Should Be ‘Gang Raped,’ But Her Response Is All Class)
