Danny Glover is “appalled” and “angry” that Donald Trump has been chosen as Time’s “Person of the Year.”

The 70-year-old actor — who supported Bernie Sanders throughout the Democratic primary — said he thought the publication made an “irresponsible” decision.

“Based on what?” Glover asked a reporter for the Daily Mail. “Based on the fact that he won the Electoral College? Based on the fact that he lied to people?” Based on the fact that all the stories of all he’s done to women and what he thinks about women? Based on his racism?”

“A racist as Person of the Year?” he continued. “I’m appalled, I’m appalled. I’m angry now that Time magazine would name this person Person of the Year. It’s incredible.”

Glover said choosing Trump is “a slap in the face.”

“Give him a chance?” he said. “What? We know who he is. We know exactly who he is. We have to accept that. But we have to fight him every inch. We have to fight him every moment.”
