Joe Biden Gives Vague Answer On Potential Presidential Run

Is Joe Biden going to run for president in 2020? He didn’t directly answer that question when he appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

After Biden told reporters on Capitol Hill that he was “going to run in 2020” because “what the hell, man,” he gave the late night host — and all of America — another vague answer Tuesday night.

“I am a great respecter of faith,” Biden said. “I don’t plan on running again but to say you know what’s going to happen in four years is not rational. I can’t see the circumstance in which I’d run but what I learned along time ago is to never say never.”

“You don’t know what’s going to happen,” he continued. “I mean, hell, Donald Trump’s gonna be 74; I’ll be 77, in better shape.”

Biden did add that he does not regret not throwing his hat in the ring for the 2016 election.

“I know I made the right decision for my family,” Biden said in reference to the death of his son Beau in May 2015. “I’m not sure I would have been able to put my whole heart in it.”

“What I regret is the circumstance that made me not able to run. I don’t regret the actual decision. It was the right decision for me to have made.”
