REPORT: Houston Moves To Hire Lane Kiffin As Head Football Coach
The Houston Cougars have tapped Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin to be the next head football coach.
The news was broke Thursday morning by Dan Woken of USA Today that Kiffin had been selected by Houston to replace Tom Herman. The report indicates that he will officially be offered the job following a meeting on Thursday. (SLIDESHOW: Celebrate College Basketball With These Sexy Cheerleaders)

If Kiffin accepts the offer, it won’t be the first head coaching position the offensive-minded coach has held. He previously was the head coach at the University of Tennessee and University of Southern California. Kiffin also had a brief stint as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders.
