Country Singer Says More Celebrities Should Just ‘Flash’ Their Crotch
Maren Morris told Chelsea Handler she thinks more celebrities should “just flash your beaver” and then go back to “being prissy and perfect.”
In an upcoming episode on Thursday of the “Chelsea” show on Netflix, the 26-year-old country singer talked about the “big year” she has had and her incredible rise to fame in 2016, according to Rolling Stone magazine. The interview took place just before Morris was named at the Country Music Awards show as the “New Artist of the Year.” (RELATED: Chelsea Handler Breaks Down In Tears While Discussing Hillary Clinton’s Loss)
“I think it’s so liberating when you realize no one knows what they’re doing,” Morris said. “That’s so fucking funny to me.”
“I look at some celebrities, and I’m like, Just flash your beaver or walk out of a club hammered or something … Just be a person for two seconds, and then you can go back to being prissy and perfect,” she added. Morris also talked about when she tried out for the reality show “American Idol” and how she was glad she never made it.
“I tried out,” Morris said. “I think I was 17. I did the cattle call audition, and it’s not for the judges– it’s for the producers. I didn’t even get past that round. I did the walk of shame out of the stadium and never made it any further.”
“I’m actually really happy I didn’t make it onto any of the shows I tried out for,” she added. “Because I took a much longer road, but it’s on my terms now.”
