Lane Kiffin’s Introductory Press Conference At FAU Is Downright Painful To Watch

David Hookstead | Reporter

Lane Kiffin was officially introduced as the new head football coach at Florida Atlantic University on Tuesday, and it was not easy to watch.

At one point a speaker was openly mocking the fact that Kiffin, the former Alabama offensive coordinator, doesn’t seem to be able to hold onto a job for very long. (SLIDESHOW: This Supermodel Might Be The Sexiest NFL Girlfriend)

At certain points of Kiffin’s speech it’s hard to tell whether or not he’s being introduced as a football coach or attending his own funeral. (SLIDESHOW: Celebrate College Basketball With These Sexy Cheerleaders)

Kiffin’s exit from Alabama has been unusual. Speculation has been swirling that something is going on behind the scenes that the public is unaware of. Big 12 commissioner Chuck Neinas said of Kiffin, “It’s not a question of his coaching ability. It’s a question of…other things.” (SLIDESHOW: 13 Times Lindsey Vonn Proved She’s One Of The Hottest Women Alive)

The former USC head coach also took a $400,000 pay cut to coach FAU instead of serve in his assistant role at Alabama. (SLIDESHOW: The UFC’s Newest Octagon Girl Is Barely Dressed In These Jaw-Dropping Photos)

Kiffin went from being an NFL head coach for the Oakland Raiders to now being a coach at a school most people haven’t heard of. The mighty certainly have fallen far.
