Sylvester Stallone Reportedly A Favorite For Senior Role In Trump Administration
Sylvester Stallone is reportedly being considered for a top role in Donald Trump’s administration.
According to the Daily Mail, the president-elect has approached the actor about having an arts role in the White House, such as Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts.
“It’s been widely and wrongly assumed that a Trump Presidency will be hostile to the arts,” the source told Daily Mail. “But Mr Trump feels this sort of A-list appointment is precisely the shot in the arm that the industry needs.”
If Stallone is formally offered that position, it will have to be approved by Congress.
Stallone has voiced his support for Trump in the past.
“I love Donald Trump,” the actor recently told Variety.
“He’s a great Dickensian character. You know what I mean? ‘There are certain people like Arnold, Babe Ruth, that are bigger than life. But I don’t know how that translates to running the world.”
