Troy Aikman Reveals Who Would Likely Start If Cowboys Owner Decided

Troy Aikman believes there is a chance Tony Romo would be the Dallas Cowboys starter if the decision were left to owner Jerry Jones.

The former Cowboys star quarterback told KTCK-AM 1310 The Ticket Thursday morning, “I’m not sure that Tony, if it was left up to the owner, wouldn’t be the starter now, just based on the comments that I’ve heard in the last couple weeks.” (SLIDESHOW: This Supermodel Might Be The Sexiest NFL Girlfriend)

Romo lost the starting job to rookie Dak Prescott after an injury during the preseason. He is now fully healthy and cleared to play, but has not been able to get his starting job back. (SLIDESHOW: 13 Times Lindsey Vonn Proved She’s One Of The Hottest Women Alive)

The Cowboys are currently 11-2, and at the top of the NFC. They’ve cruised through most of their season, and look primed for a Super Bowl run. Don’t expect Romo to get off the bench unless something drastically changes.
