You’ll Never Believe What Mick Jagger Named His Eighth Child
Mick Jagger got creative when he named his eighth child.
The 73-year-old “Rolling Stones” frontman welcomed a new son into the world last week with his 29-year-old girlfriend Melanie Hamrick. In true superstar fashion, he gave the child a name that has a lot of people talking: Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger.

Elizabeth Jagger posted a photo of the boy that she captioned, “My beautiful baby brother Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger.” The 32-year-old later deleted the snap.
According to The Mirror, Deveraux is French for “riverbank,” while Octavian means “born eighth” in Latin. Basil, which was the name of Jagger’s late father, is a Greek name that is loosely translated to mean “kingly.”
Sir Jagger, who was knighted in 2003, has not confirmed the boy’s name to the press.
