Watch The First Trailer For ‘Blade Runner 2049’ [VIDEO]
The trailer for “Blade Runner 2049” just came out and has fans of the sci-fi thriller hungry for more.
On Monday, Warner Brothers released the first footage of the highly anticipated sequel to the 1982 sci-fi hit “Blade Runner.” The trailer is extremely brief, lasting less than two minutes in total, but gives fans a sense the director Ridley Scott is definitely going to keep things dark like the first one. In the opening shot fans hear Harrison Ford’s voice over a shot of rain-soaked Los Angeles streets explaining that replicants (human-appearing androids) must be hunted down. (RELATED: Watch The First Trailer For The Movie About The Boston Bombing [VIDEO])
“Replicants are like any other machine they are either a benefit or a hazard,” Ford said. “If they’re a benefit, it’s not my problem.”
The trailer also gives fans a glimpse of the two stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford. In one shot, Gosling enters building when Ford sneaks up behind him pointing a gun at him.
The film, according to another report, is set 30 years after the events of the first film with a new blade runner, LAPD officer played by Ryan Gosling, who has to go on a quest to track down Rick Deckard played by Harrison Ford, the original LAPD blade runner, who has been missing for the last thirty years.
The sci-fi thriller hits movie theaters Oct. 6, 2017.
