“It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” star Charlie Day just revealed that he’s not really a Philadelphia Eagles fan like his TV persona “Charlie Kelly.”

“Here’s the sad thing and you’re gonna hate me,” Day told TMZ Wednesday in Los Angeles. “But I grew up in Rhode Island, that’s the heart of New England. So I’m a Pats fan, you know. What are you gonna do?”

“But Charlie Kelly, fan of the Eagles for sure,” Day added of his hilarious TV character. “Charlie Day, fan of the Pats. So that’s how that boils down.”

Day’s hit FX comedy show “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” is about to enter its 12th season and it looks like it will be as funny as ever. The first episode premiers on January 4.
