The 53-year-old actor filed a memorandum in a Los Angeles court on Thursday asking the judge to seal all documents pertaining to his and Jolie’s custody battle over their six children because he believes it is a matter that should remain private.

He argued that she “exposed the children by making public the names of their therapists and other mental health professionals.”

“She apparently has no self-regulating mechanism to preclude sensitive information from being placed in the public record, or she has other motives,” Pitt’s lawyer stated in the documents. She “appears to be determined to ignore even agreed upon standards relating to the children’s best interest.”

“Although she had already made them public, she did it again.”

Pitt and Jolie currently have a custody deal where she has primary custody and he is allowed monitored visits with their six children — Maddox and Pax, 12; Zahara, 11; Shiloh, 10; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8.

“I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids,” Pitt said in a statement to People.

“I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
