Skip Bayless Comes Out Firing Against Nick Saban, Praises Urban Meyer

Fox Sports pundit Skip Bayless had some criticism for Alabama football coach Nick Saban, and lots of praise for Ohio State coach Urban Meyer Thursday.

“Urban Meyer is a better all-around football coach than Nick Saban, who is a little overrated dare I say thanks in a little part to you. Large part to you. Lets take a look at what Urban Meyer has done. Just since he arrived at Ohio State he has the best record in all of college football, but lets go back to Utah. He led Utah to an undefeated season in 2004. Undefeated and they went on and won the Fiesta Bowl,” Bayless said on Thursday.

“Then at Florida he won two national championships as we all know in 06′ and 08′. Way to go Tim Tebow. And then at Ohio State he starts off 12-0, undefeated, but they couldn’t go to a bowl that year. 12-2 the next year, 14-1 national championship, 12-1 Fiesta Bowl win and 11-1 now and they obviously have a chance being one of the final four teams left. And meanwhile we look across the table at Nick Saban and we say, ‘Jeez, he needs Lane Kiffin to call his plays? Urban calls his own plays. Urban runs his own offense,'” he continued. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Hottest Pictures Of Johnny Manziel‘s Ex-Girlfriend)

The last time Saban and Meyer met in a game was in the 2014 playoff, and Ohio State rolled through the playoffs with a third string quarterback to the national championship.
