Donald Trump criticized “The Apprentice” ratings with Arnold Schwarzeneger as host and the actor is now firing back at the president-elect.

“The Apprentice,” which Schwarzenegger now hosts, had some underwhelming ratings in the show’s premiere this week. Trump criticized the weak start in a series of tweets Friday morning. (RELATED: Donald Trump Just Looked At The Ratings For ‘The Apprentice’ And He Is Not Pleased)

“Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got ‘swamped’ (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT.” Trump tweeted.

“But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary,” Trump concluded.

Schwarzenegger fired back at Trump with a passive-aggressive tweet, and then followed up with a video directed at the president-elect.

“I wish you the best of luck and I hope you’ll work for ALL American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings,” Schwarzenegger said.

The actor then posted a video he recorded the day after Trump won the presidential election in which he read some quotes from one of his “heroes,” President Lincoln.

“Please study this quote from Lincoln’s inaugural,” Schwarzenegger tweeted at the president-elect. “It inspired me everyday I was Governor, and I hope it inspires you.”
