Debbie Reynolds And Carrie Fisher Buried Together In Hollywood Cemetery
Debbie Reynolds and her daughter Carrie Fisher were laid to rest right next to one another at their funeral Friday morning.
Reynolds was buried and Fisher, who was cremated earlier this week, had her ashes placed alongside her mother’s coffin. Family and close friends gathered at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood to pay their respects to them both, TMZ reports.
Fisher, who famously played Princess Leia in Star Wars, died on December 27, a few days after going into cardiac arrest during a flight from London to Los Angeles. She was 60 years old.
Reynolds passed away just one day after her daughter on December 28. While making funeral arrangements for Fisher, she reportedly suffered from a stroke, was rushed to the hospital and died shortly after.
The family held a private memorial service at Debbie and Carrie’s compound in Beverly Hills prior to the funeral, TMZ reports. Meryl Streep sang a song for Fisher and will also be delivering a eulogy at the public memorial service.
