Lamar Odom Released From Rehab After 35 Days
Former NBA star Lamar Odom checked out of rehab Thursday morning after a 35-day stay and is reportedly doing “much better.”
Odom voluntarily checked himself into a facility in San Diego in early December. The 37-year-old reportedly “wanted to work on his mental and physical health for the next chapter of his life,” according to E! News. (RELATED: Lamar Odom Checks Into Rehab Again)
Odom also feared he may fall off the wagon again as the birthday of his late son Jayden, who died from SIDS, approached. Jayden was born on Dec. 15, 2005 and died a few months later, allegedly leading to Odom’s initial drug abuse, according to TMZ.
Other reports claimed that what would have been Jayden’s 11th birthday and his now-finalized divorce with Khloé Kardashian was what made Odom fear he would use drugs again. (RELATED: Here’s Why Lamar Odom Checked Back Into Rehab)
Odom is doing much better after “successfully completing the program,” according to TMZ sources, and is looking forward to “getting on with his life back in Los Angeles.”
