Jimmy Fallon started out the Golden Globes mocking President-elect Donald Trump’s current line-up of performers for his inauguration.

During the show Sunday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the talk show host noted in his opening monologue how actress Meryl Streep was nominated for her role as “Florence Foster Jenkins.” He then used it as an opportunity to talk about Trump’s upcoming inauguration and the list of performers for it. (RELATED: Hillary Clinton’s ‘Tonight Show’ Appearance Gets Higher Ratings Than Donald Trump’s)

“Florence Foster Jenkins is nominated,” Fallon said. “The character has been dubbed the world’s worst opera singer. And even even she turned down performing at Donald Trump’s Inauguration.”

“It’s tough to book,” he added. ‘Tough to book.”

Later Fallon used his moment on stage to make a joke about the 2016 election and imply that Russia had something to do with Trump winning the election.

“And as always the ballots for tonight’s Golden Globe Awards were carefully tabulated by the accounting firm of Ernst and Young and Putin,” Fallon said.
