Jimmy Fallon Forced To Improvise Golden Globes Monologue Due To Technical Glitch

Jimmy Fallon was forced to improvise during his opening monologue of the 74th Golden Globe Awards show after technical problems left him without a teleprompter.

The host fumbled around onstage without his script and turned to the star-studded audience to help him make it through the awkward opening moment.

“I can think of something,” Fallon told the crowd. “Cut to Justin Timberlake please,” he said, trying to burn up some time. “I’ll make up this monologue… We’re here,” Fallon said. “This is what happens at the Golden Globes. Already you have your Golden Globes moment,” he joked.

Technical difficulties continued as Fallon told his audience they were working to get another screen up and running.

Eventually the host finally got his teleprompter working and quickly made a joke about the presidential election. “This is one of the few places where America honors the popular vote,” Fallon began on script.
