Report: Charles Manson Back In Prison, Health Still Failing
Mass murderer Charles Manson is reportedly out of the hospital and back in a California prison with failing health, a new report claims.
On Saturday, several different reports surfaced about the whereabouts and condition of the 82-year-old cult leader. According to the Bakersfield Californian, the convicted murderer is back behind bars in Corcoran State Prison and out of a Bakersfield, CA hospital where he was allegedly taken earlier in the week for surgery for a legion in his intestine that was bleeding. The report also alleges that a source told the outlet, on the condition of anonymity, that Manson was functioning with only 15 percent of lung capacity. The source added that Manson was transferred back to the prison without undergoing the surgery. (RELATED: Will Charles Manson Be The First ‘Celebrity’ Death Of 2017?)
When the Department of Corrections was asked to clarify the prisoner’s whereabouts they did not provide any new information.
“Inmate Manson is in Corcoran prison,” the statement read. “We never stated that he was elsewhere.”
TMZ also reported that the Manson had allegedly regained enough strength in his body to have a necessary surgery on his bleeding intestine and that was scheduled in the hospital on Saturday. The report follows one from Thursday that said Manson was too weak to undergo the surgery.
Manson has been at Corcoran prison since 1989 where he is currently serving nine life sentences. He is up for a parole hearing in 2027.
