Punches Fly During NHL Game After Dirty Hit

David Hookstead | Contributor

Punches flew Sunday night between Matthew Benning of the Edmonton Oilers and Chris Wideman of the Ottawa Senators.

The violent exchange between the two started after Wideman repeatedly hit an Oilers player with his stick. He then threw a punch into Benning’s face and it was on. (SLIDESHOW: 13 Times Paulina Gretzky Looked Absolutely Incredible)

Classic hockey guy move from Benning. Steps up for his teammate and just letting the punches fly. Absolutely outstanding.
