Brad Pitt Arrived, Presented A Film And Promptly Left The Golden Globes
Brad Pitt was only at the Golden Globe Awards for a matter of minutes on Sunday. He arrived, presented a film and promptly left the show, Page Six reports.
Pitt made a surprise appearance at the awards show when he arrived onstage to a welcoming applause from the audience. The 53-year-old actor then presented the film “Moonlight,” which was produced by Pitts production company Plan B. Pitt then left the stage and wasn’t seen again for the rest of the evening. The actor has been going through a nasty, very public divorce with Angelina Jolie. The two recently agreed to keep all divorce and custody proceedings private for the sake of their six children. Still, Pitt clearly didn’t feel comfortable with the attention that would have surrounded him had he stuck around at the Golden Globes. “He entered the Globes through the backstage and presented the film, and then headed straight back home,” an executive producer of “Moonlight” said, according to Page Six. “He is extremely proud of the film, and wanted to be there to support it, but he didn’t go out.”
It was clear from the applause that Pitt’s fellow actors were happy to see him there and looking well, although it was only for a matter of moments.
