Twitter users erupted following Clemson beating Alabama in the national football title game with the theory that former Alabama coach Lane Kiffin was happy to see the Tide lose.

Kiffin was removed from the staff following the first playoff game against Washington, despite the fact that he was supposed to coach through the national championship before leaving for the head coaching spot at FAU. (SLIDESHOW: Johnny Manziel‘s Rumored Girlfriend Barely Wears Anything On Instagram)

Twitter roasted Alabama for the decision to dump the offensive coordinator who had helped guid them to a previously undefeated season.

If Alabama had won nobody would probably care about Kiffin being dismissed early. However, it’s not a great look when you don’t win after firing your offensive coordinator. (SLIDESHOW: Celebrate College Basketball With These Sexy Cheerleaders)
