Johnny Manziel Scheduled For Appearance During Super Bowl Week
Former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel has been scheduled for two promotional events at Houston-area malls where he will sign autographs and take pictures with fans during Super Bowl week.
The events will mark the former Heisman Trophy winner’s first public promotional appearances since being cut by the Cleveland Browns in March of 2016.
The former Texas A&M star will be signing autographs for $99 and taking pictures with fans for $50 at the events, ESPN reports. Manziel will also include inscriptions such as “Johnny Football,” for an additional $29.
The Texas native football star is scheduled to appear at memorabilia stores, Stadium Signatures, in Katy on February 2 and Woodland on Feb. 3, ESPN reports.
Manziel has only done one other public autograph session since leaving Texas A&M and turning pro. During his brief period as an NFL player, he spent 10 weeks in rehab, was suspended for four games after violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy and faced domestic violence charges after his former girlfriend accused him of hitting her.
As a result, the former football star has lost his endorsement deals and his future in the NFL is uncertain.
