Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Matt Garza silenced actress Jessica Chastain on Twitter late Thursday after she demanded free birth control.

The “Lawless” star tweeted, “#BirthControl is no longer covered by health insurance. Congrats USA, you’re doing your part to keep women out of the work force. #smfh.” (SLIDESHOW: These Barely Clothed Women Love Baseball)

That tweet didn’t sit well with Garza, who is a father himself. He responded, “It’s called abstinence, a word that has been forgotten amongst this generation… it’s the best contraceptive… #juatsaying” (SLIDESHOW: Derek Jeter’s New Wife Loves Showing Off Skin)

Chastain has been visible in liberal politics before. She previously played the lead in an extremely pro-gun control film titled, “Miss Sloane.”
