A man by the name of Bryan Asrary has been arrested for allegedly impersonating Justin Bieber online to target young girls and demand nude photographs from them, TMZ reported Monday.

One of Asrary’s alleged victims was a 9-year-old girl who he discovered looking at Bieber’s Instagram page in 2014. Asrary direct messaged the young girl on the social media site claiming to know the pop singer and told her he could arrange a text meeting for her.

After setting up the text meeting, Asrary then allegedly began posing as Bieber in their communications. He demanded the girl to send nude photos of herself and threatened to hurt her if she refused to do so, TMZ reports.

Asrary tried to contact the young girl again sometime in 2016 and threatened to publish the videos and photos she had already sent him unless she sent more. The girl told her mother, who got the police involved.

The police located Asrary, who confessed to extorting the young girl as well as other victims into sending him nude photos, TMZ reports.

Asrary is reportedly in custody and facing extortion, child porn and other unreported charges.
