According to Women’s Wear Daily, Ralph Lauren “is believed to be working on a gown and an Inauguration Day ensemble” for the first lady-elect while his team is designing custom pieces for other members of the Trump family.

This is despite rumors that no fashion designers were willing to work with Melania because of her husband’s politics.

Lauren publicly supported Hillary Clinton throughout the election and even designed some of her pantsuits.

When he appeared on the “The View” at the end of November, Tom Ford revealed that he once refused to dress Melania.

“I was asked to dress her quite a few years ago and I declined,” the famous designer — who has dressed celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna — said. “She’s not necessarily my image.”

“And as the first lady — other than the fact that I’m a Democrat and voted for Hillary and I’m very sad and disappointed that she’s not in office — even had Hillary won, she shouldn’t be wearing my clothes,” he said.

“They’re too expensive and I don’t mean this in a bad way. They’re not artificially expensive. But I think to relate to everybody…”
