Former “America’s Got Talent” contestant Jackie Evancho will perform the national anthem at Donald Trump’s inauguration Friday, and she’s doing something previous singers haven’t.

The 16-year-old singer is planning to sing the national anthem live, which is something many former inauguration performers cannot say they have done. In years past, national anthem performers have pre-recorded the song and lip-synced along during the actual event, TMZ reports.

Beyonce was criticized for lip-syncing at Obama’s second-term inauguration just four years ago. But Evancho has apparently never lip-synced before, and she doesn’t plan on starting now. (RELATED: President-Elect Trump Praises Inauguration Singer Jackie Evancho’s Rising Album Sales)

The amazing young performer sang at a rehearsal with the Marine Corps Band on Wednesday and will have another rehearsal on Thursday before the big event.

According to TMZ, Evancho will pre-record the anthem, but only as a back-up to play if she falls ill and can’t physically sing it live.
