“We have been witness to a barrage of propaganda that left us all breathless with anticipation, not knowing if God could reverse all the negative lies against Mr. Trump, whose only desire is to make America great again,” he added. “He certainly didn’t need this job. And yes, God answered all our prayers. Because here it is: We will be part of history, all of us.”
“And President Lincoln, who sits here with us, I’m sure is smiling knowing that America will be saved by an honest and good man who will work for all the people no matter their creed and color,” he continued.
After he finished speaking the concert kicked-off with Grammy award winner Sam Moore who sang his version of “America the Beautiful.” In an interview this week, the 81-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer said he was honored to perform for Trump.
“As an American, I am honored to perform for President-elect Donald Trump,” Moore said. “I was a participant in the civil rights movement and have seen many positive changes and advancement in my 81 years of living in this wonderful Country, but I know we must all join hands and work together with our new President.”
