Celebrities blasted president Donald Trump for selecting Judge Neil Gorsuch as a nominee to the United States Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Almost immediately after the president announced he had selected Gorsuch to replace the vacancy left on the court by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, performers like Chelsea Handler, Rosie O’Donnell and many others blasted his pick via Twitter and Instagram. (RELATED: Conservatives Are Thrilled That President Trump Nominated This Person To The Supreme Court)

“Like all arch conservatives, I assume Gorsuch will be celebrating tonight on Grindr,” Handler tweeted. (RELATED: Celebrities Freak Out Over Trump’s Immigration Restriction)

“Send it out to every democrat in office….” O’Donnell tweeted along with a RT from someone warning democrats who vote for Gorsuch that they will be primaried.

“Gorsuch is extremely anti-LGBTQ and this is a #StolenSeat that belonged to Merrick Garland,” Eichner tweeted.

“@glaad keeping us updated! Call your senators and tell them they need to Vote No on Neil Gorsuch, Trumps Supreme Court nominee!!!!! He is not a friend of the LGBTQ community and has ruled on a case against @plannedparenthood funding, jeopardizing women’s health rights,” Miley Cyrus wrote in a post on Instagram following the announcement.
