New Report Reveals Why Tom Brady Dropped ‘Deflategate’ Appeal
A new report claims that Tom Brady dropped his “Deflategate” appeal due to his mother’s health problems.
Barstool Sports reporter Jerry Thorton broke the news Wednesday morning and revealed never before known details about why the appeal was dropped, resulting in a four game suspension for Brady. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: NFL Owners Furious With Goodell — ‘It’s Time For A New Commissioner’)
Thorton wrote in part:
A family friend of the Brady’s reached out to me through a mutual acquaintance. The reason, he said, was that he wanted to tell me the real reason why Brady dropped his appeal. I’ll confess that he had me nervous, like he was going to say Brady really did cheat and didn’t want the truth to come out or whatever. Which would mean everything I and everyone I care about believes in is a lie. Well, it wasn’t that. The real reason was a billion times worse. And it’s this story. It’s about Mrs. Brady being sick.
Brady was accused of playing a major role in the deflation of football during the 2015 AFC championship game. However, little evidence actually supported the claims of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. (SLIDESHOW: This Supermodel Might Be The Sexiest NFL Girlfriend)
The new report makes a lot more sense why Brady would drop his appeal so he could focus on his mother’s health issues.
