Susan Sarandon, Other Celebs Mock Trump’s Use Of An ‘Alternative Constitution’
Celebrities like Susan Sarandon, Shailene Woodley, Amber Heard and others mocked president Donald Trump’s immigration ban in the latest “Funny or Die” video.
In the three-minute video released Tuesday, the stars attack the president’s recent executive order that temporarily prevents migration from seven Muslim majority countries. They sarcastically conclude it’s not Trump’s fault because someone replaced the real Constitution when he was a teen with a “cursed” and “alternative one.” (RELATED: Celebrities Blast Trump’s SCOTUS Nominee)
“He’s working from the wrong Constitution and he doesn’t even know it,” Cara Delevingne said. (RELATED: Celebrities Freak Out Over Trump’s Immigration Restriction)
“It looks like many have tried to destroy the alternate constitution,” Susan Sarandon said. “But it has some sort of dark magic protecting it.”
The celebrities also joke that Trump has been looking at an alternative Statue of Liberty, one that the Russians donated to a neighborhood in Queens that the president walked by everyday as a kid with a plaque on it that reads, “fear outsiders.”
“Finally it all makes sense, right,” Lizzy Caplan responds. “He’s not making these moves because he’s an idiot; he’s making these moves because he’s looking at all of the wrong stuff. Poor little guy.”
Actor Dule Hill then asks “if anyone who is near Trump” can “swap out his cursed Constitution for the real one.”
The performers then conclude the video by asking people to help get Trump copies of the real Constitution, Bible, Declaration of Independence, D.C. transit turnstile numbers, Statue of Liberty, and the seven seasons of The West Wing.
