Debra Messing showed her solidarity with violent rioters at University of California-Berkeley who shut down Breitbart’s Milo Yiannopoulos appearance on campus Wednesday night.

The 38-year-old actress spent Wednesday night and Thursday morning on Twitter praising the people who caused property damage and allegedly committed multiple assaults in an effort to silence free speech. (RELATED: Hollywood Director Tweets Threat To Trump Supporters After Berkeley Riot)

“RESISTANCE WORKS! #Resist #NeverStop,” Messing tweeted.

She also included a RT from the official Twitter account of U.C. Berkeley announcing the cancellation of Yiannopoulos appearance.

Several hours later, the actress responded to a tweet from conservative columnist S.E. Cupp, who called her out for praising the rioters. Messing wrote that it is “too much at stake” not to be “loud and powerful.”

“Not in an ideal world, but Resistance must be loud & powerful now. Too much at stake. Have to empower moderate republicans and fire up Dems,” Messing tweeted. https://twitter.com/secupp/status/827019603972849664 …

At one point, the actress even attacked President Donald Trump when she said via Twitter that his staff needs to put him to bed by 4 p.m. for the “safety of our country.” In the tweet she included the hashtag #AussieGaff following reports about a tense phone call between Trump and the Australian prime minister.

“Oh Good LORD! It’s only Day 12! He’s tired NOW?! They’re going to have him go to sleep by 4pm for the safety of our country. #AussieGaff,” Messing tweeted.
