“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multi-cultural issues,” West tweeted but has since deleted. “These issues include bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”

At one of his concerts in California, following the election, the singer told the crowd that he “would’ve voted for Trump.”

“This is about the idea of a black guy liking Trump. They thought they had me because … just because I was black or just because I was a celebrity,” West said. “But Trump is our president. And that would’ve been my vote, so I feel right.”
